How Kristina has taught me some words in Turkish…

Kristina is a colleague with whom I shared a brief didactical online experience, she teaches English in Istanbul, Turkey and having known that I wished to learn some Turkish she prepared the following activity to describe the “Turkish breakfast” in a way Turkish words could be both understandable to me and easy to memorize.

She was very creative using Voicethread and she also provided an audio file in her podcast site in which he asked her husband to speak in Turkish (he is native) so I could hear what the language sounds like and she also added explanations about the declarative form he used.

I have found it really pleasant and relaxing as a language activity and also opened a broad range of opportunities to use voicethread in a language class.
