Grapheety : Tag Your World and share your story!

I have just signed up and it looks great!

In this site you are encouraged to write a story about a place and share it either with your friends (setting it as private) or with everybody letting people comment and add other interesting or funny details connected to the same place.

What I really like is the opportunity to use this social map for didactical purposes, I will experiment a written activity in my Italian language class to let students describe the city where they live through personal stories (for example about their favourite restaurant, their schools, flat or any place they want); they can add one or more photos and choose the style they prefer: narrative, descriptive, argumentative.

I always have multicultural classes so no risk for students to get bored with repetitions about the same places and moreover the interaction is fostered through comments students can post not only to their colleagues’ stories but also to everybody’s ones.

Grapheety offers a variety of options to visualize and search places on the map, it’s also very easy to check things out, there is a Random button on the top left of the page that lets you access a random story for you to see and read!
