Podcasting for MFL teachers

Are you a MFL teacher new to podcasting? If you do need an initial introduction on how to use podcasting and create your own files to use in your language classroom I suggest the following site full of useful resources: Learning and Teaching Scotland – Shared Sharing Practice. There you can find several step by step video tutorials where you can both download the video files and read the trascript of the audio narration if you feel more comfortable with this modality.

The video tutorials explain how podcasting works and introduce you to one of the most used audio editing freeware software called “audacity” . Audacity can be downloaded on your computer and you can begin recording your own audio files with a few tips ;-).

The site also offers the opportunity to listen to some podcasts and get the idea of the learning/teaching power of this technology for a MFL class.
