SLanguages 2008

Howard Vickers who runs Avatar Languages  kindly informed me about an interesting event to take place inworld on 23rd   and 24th  May: SLanguages 2008, a conference whose main objective is to create connections among different professionals interested in the use of SL in the field of language education.

Different opportunities to exchange ideas and experiences through workshops, seminars and demonstrations will be offered along with the proper information for participants in order to use in a fruitful way all the needed communication tools.

The event will be held on EduNation II and III , private islands in Second Life owned and run by the Consultants-E and dedicated to education, research, training, distance and blended learning and development.

For more detailed info you can either read the call for paper in the related section of the Consultants-E’s website or visit the new SLanguages 2008 website entirely dedicated to the conference (the site is being currently translated into a dozen languages, so the different versions should be soon online).
